Open studio

Visit the bench, meet the makers and ask better questions about materials.

For one Saturday afternoon, the Northstar workshop becomes a little more open than usual. You can see the current prototypes on the shelves, handle the finishes we are testing and watch a small batch move through the stages between rough material and finished object.

There is no formal tour and no expected level of knowledge. The makers will be working as they normally do, with plenty of time for questions about brass, oak, clay, packaging and the repairs that teach us more than the first version ever could.

What you will see

• A materials table with current brass, wood and ceramic samples.
• The repair shelf, including objects waiting for a second life.
• Short demonstrations at the bench every hour.
• A quiet corner for browsing the journal and care notes.

Doors are open from 13:00 to 17:00. There is no ticket and no expected level of knowledge. Reserve a place if you would like us to keep a chair for you, or simply come by when you are nearby.
