Repair day
Bring one small object and leave with a plan.

Repair Day is an afternoon for the objects that have become too familiar to throw away and too confusing to fix alone. Bring one small household object—no larger than a shoebox—and our workshop lead will help you understand what can be cleaned, tightened, re-glued, re-finished or respectfully retired.
This is not a promise that every object will leave repaired. It is a chance to learn how to look. We will talk through the difference between a loose joint and a damaged one, how to find the original finish under years of grime, and when a replacement part is kinder than a heroic repair.
Bring one object
- Small furniture hardware, handles, trays and wooden household objects.
- A short description of what changed and when you noticed it.
- Any loose screws or pieces in a small labelled bag.
- An open mind: some repairs need a second visit or a specialist.
Our workshop lead will help you understand what can be cleaned, tightened, repaired or respectfully retired. Tea and simple tools are provided; please do not bring powered equipment or anything sharp enough to require specialist handling.
